Willshee’s has partnered with Kronospan who are now taking the lion’s share of our wood waste to turn it into chipboard. This means that more discarded wood is being recycled and reused, with the construction sector being a prime target.
Chipboard made from wood waste is ideal for house builders, many of whom are under pressure to use more sustainable materials whenever possible. Other uses for reprocessed wood waste include office furniture and numerous other household items.
MD Dean Willshee commented: “Working with Kronospan means that our discarded waste wood will now be recycled and reused, taking our recycling to a new level.
“To date, the trials have gone really well – which is good news for our customers, for us and also the environment.”
