The past year has been a great one for Willshee’s with several big new clients coming on board and commissioning Willshee’s to handle their bulk waste management and recycling needs. In this post we thought we’d share a few of the big contracts we’re delighted to have won over the past 12 months.

South Derbyshire County Council

Last year, in partnership with Shanks, South Derbyshire County Council chose Willshee’s to provide them with a bulking, loading and logistics service. All waste is delivered to specified incinerators in the local area, in which all household waste is used as a waste to energy source, providing electricity and power whilst eradicating the need to take any waste to landfill.

This demonstrates how Willshee’s is the perfect partner for any business or organisation that is pursuing zero waste to landfill.

The contract with South Derbyshire County Council started at the beginning of last year and will be a long-term contract with the council.

Wiggle

At the end of last year, Willshee’s signed a long term contract to provide a full waste management solution for the online cycling retailer Wiggle. The contract includes all baling and compacting equipment.

Wiggle have recently commissioned their new National Distribution Centre near Willenhall (West Midlands). They chose Willshee’s to manage all Wiggles waste & recycling requirements and provide Wiggle with a zero waste to landfill solution.

The account manager will oversee the implementation of industry best practice, with all waste materials being segregated at source. Working together with Wiggle we have a joint approach towards achieving the highest standards of service.

East Staffs Contract Renewal

Following a formal tender process, Willshee’s has yet again been awarded a new long term contract with East Staffordshire Borough Council, following 12 years of excellent service they have already provided to the council.

The service Willshee’s provide is the bulking up of East Staffs curbside household waste and recyclable materials. Willshee’s deliver full loads of the recyclable materials to a nearby recycling sorting plant, whilst the non recyclable materials are delivered to a waste to energy plant, giving a zero waste to landfill solution.

For the bulk deliveries Willshee’s use Titan walking floor trailers, which are 4.5 tonne lighter than the equivalent ejector trailer and therefore give additional payload and maximum fuel efficiency.

The renewal of this contract is testament to the high level of service Willshee’s have provided to East Staffordshire Borough Council over the past 12 years.
