Meet Marketa Dacova who has been with us for nearly five years and speaks five languages – Russian, Polish, Czech, Slovakian and English. Marketa is one of our dedicated customer service advisors – here to help! And this is her story.
Originally from Slovakia, Marketa’s first job was in Belgium – picking apples, which also involved learning to drive a tractor. In 2015 she moved to England and got a job picking and packing books in a Waterstone’s warehouse. Prior to joining Willshee’s in 2018, she worked for Boots and then B&Q in warehouse admin and logistics respectively.
Marketa loves her role as a customer service advisor. She says: “Throughout the day I answer phone calls from our customers, from our transport team and our drivers. In the sales office, we help to solve delivery issues, such as problems with access. I deal with customer enquiries and let them know about our full range of services; arranging bookings and service requests; and processing orders and responding to emails.
“I like it when I help customers with their issues or enquiries. And having sorted out a customer’s needs, it’s always good to receive positive feedback.
“I thoroughly enjoy working in a busy environment and getting things done. And it’s great that I have the opportunity to learn. I am very excited to be part of this team and to see how the company is growing and making lots of improvements in each department.”
Marketa adds: “My favourite thing about my job is feeling a sense of belonging and the positive, family atmosphere.”
Office manager Jenna Willshee says: “We are really lucky to have Marketa – she is great with customers and colleagues alike, and has a really excellent work ethic. Apart from her customer service responsibilities, she is also one of our first aiders and helps with inductions for new starters.”
