Craig Willshee is one of six family members in the business. He has now accrued over 10 years’ experience of waste and recycling and has worked across many areas of the operation. This means he has a really informed view of the whole company and now he is responsible for safety, health, environmental issues and quality. This is a very important role and he is increasingly being consulted by customers who are very appreciative of his accrued knowledge.

Craig joined the company in 2009 as an engineer. He then took on the job of transport manager in 2017, moving into the SHEQ manager position last November.

Craig has attended all sorts of professional training programmes across health and safety in particular including: NEBOSH general certificate and NVQ level 5 Health and Safety.

He said: “I love this business! And feel really lucky to be working in what is not only a growth industry but is also genuinely helping to make a difference from an environmental perspective. I especially enjoy the renewables and environmental side of things – and working with such a great team of professionals.

“It is also really important to me to be helping to build on the legacy left by our father Keith. He started the company 35 years ago, so it is great that the business is going from strength to strength and will hopefully be here for many future generations of Willshees.”
